Hair (1979)

This film is based on the cult Broadway musical of the 60s and tells a story about Claude (John Savage), a young man from Oklahoma who comes to New York City. There he strikes up a friendship with a group of hippies, led by Berger, and falls in love with Sheila (Beverly D'Angelo), a girl from a rich family. However, their happiness is short because Claude must go to the Vietnam war.


Bethesda Terrace, (Mid-Park at 72nd Street) Central Park, Manhattan.
  Bethesda Terrace has two levels. The upper terrace flanks the 72nd Street Cross Drive and the lower terrace provides a podium for viewing the Lake. The fountain is the central feature on the lower level of the terrace.
