Bertram Pincus (Ricky Gervais) is a man whose people skills leave much to be desired. When Pincus dies unexpectedly, but is miraculously revived after seven minutes, he wakes up to discover that he now has the annoying ability to see ghosts. Even worse, they all want something from him, particularly Frank Herlihy who pesters him into breaking up the impending marriage of his widow Gwen. That puts Pincus squarely in the middle of a triangle with spirited result.

Editor's Comment: In this scene, Frank Herlihy narrowly misses being killed by the falling air-conditioning unit, but moments later as he stands looking up at the building on Madison Avenue you can quick clearly see the shop La Maison Du Chocolat (located at 1018 Madison Avenue) in the distance and would expect to see the brown apartment block opposite where the air-conditioning unit had fallen from, but in fact as you can see from the photograph below it is a completely different building!
