Finding Rose Reid

25 April 2023

Star of the coming-of-age romantic comedy “Finding You”, Rose Reid finds herself leaving New York City after an ill-fated audition at a prestigious New York music school. She travels to a coastal village in Ireland to begin a semester studying abroad. There she meets heartthrob movie star Beckett Rush, who is shooting the latest instalment of his medieval fantasy-adventure franchise. They begin an unlikely romance, but when forces surrounding Beckett’s stardom threaten to crush their dreams, Finley must decide what she will risk for love. The Nashville, Tennessee actress wrote her first script and later helped produce the short film when she was just 16 years old.

Actress Rose Reid

Before appearing as leading role in Roadside Attractions’ feature film, “Finding You”, opposite Vanessa Redgrave, Katherine McNamara and Judith Hoag, Rose had previously starred in the films “The World We Make”, “Sweet, Sweet Summertime”, “I’m Not Ashamed”, and “Lifetime’s A Welcome Home Christmas”, opposite Jana Kramer.

Though the majority of “Finding You” was filmed in Ireland, there are a few scenes that were shot in New York City, which include Central Park, Wall Street, and the subway on Franklin Street. Don’t be fooled into thinking that her character auditions at the Manhattan Conservatory of Music in New York. The actual building used was the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, originally the Grand Canal Theatre, located in the Docklands of Dublin, Ireland.
