Manhattan Baby (1982)

After the discovery of a blue evil eye stone in Egypt by archaeologist Prof. George Hacker (Christopher Connelly), he is left blinded by its power. Meanwhile, an sorceress gives the Hacker's daughter Suzy (Brigitta Boccoli) a special amulet that confers the power of telekinesis. When Suzy returns to New York, a researcher into the paranormal finds out that she is a pawn for an ancient and evil Egyptian cult.

  Inspired by the model boat ponds of late 19th century Paris, Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux created a place where children and adults alike could experience the pleasure of boating, in addition to the other attractions Conservatory Water has to offer.

otsoNY Comments: A Brooklyn Icon. Reinvigorated. Cobble Hill Towers comprises nine six-story walk-up buildings facing Warren, Hicks and Baltic Street. Built in 1879 and renovated and modernized throughout the years, the buildings are architecturally unique with red brick and decorative railings on each terrace floor and along the top of the building. The stairwells are at the exterior, a fire prevention method at the time of construction, and lead to two terraces on each floor from which the apartments are accessed.
