otsoNY takes another look at The Proposal next week to re-master the original images and add a few extra film locations.

The Proposal is a romantic comedy which was directed by Anne Fletcher and written by Peter Chiarelli. The film, which was the very first film posted on otsoNY back in November 2009 features Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds in the leading roles, with Betty White, Mary Steenburgen, and Craig T. Nelson in supporting roles. The plot centres on a Canadian immigrant named Margaret Tate played by Bullock, who learns that she may face deportation charges because of her expired visa. Determined to retain her position as executive chief, Tate convinces her assistant, Andrew Paxton played by Reynolds, to temporarily act as her husband. Initially planning on resuming their lives after Tate resolves her visa issues, they appear to abandon those plans as their relationship intensifies.
