12 August 2014

US actor and comedian Robin Williams has been found dead, aged 63, in an apparent suicide. Marin County Police in California said he was pronounced dead at his home shortly after officials responded to an emergency call around noon local time.

Robin Williams was famous for such films as Good Morning Vietnam and Dead Poets Society and won an Oscar for his role in Good Will Hunting. His publicist said he had been "battling severe depression".

Williams had starred in many New York-based films such as The Fisher King, Night at the Museum, August Rush and more recently The Angriest Man in Brooklyn alongside actress Mila Kunis, who said on social media network Twitter: “R.I.P. Robin Williams he was so important to many of our childhoods.”
